10 Barrel Brewing keeps expanding as part of Anheuser-Busch in their family of craft High End Brands. They were looking for a strategic partner to help them grow.

Location: Production in Bend, Oregon, with brewpubs and distribution in Portland, San Diego, Boise, Denver, Seattle, and growing

Project: Expand production to meet multi-state distribution

Challenges

10 Barrel needs a lot of stainless steel to keep up with production. First, special brew kettles to work with their existing brewhouse. Then a second brewhouse linked with their existing systems to expand production and various special craft recipes. And if that was not enough, a place to store all this production until they could package and distributed it. And finally, they needed tanks to contain all the spent grain.

Our Solutions

MARKS designed 2 brew kettles to make sure they worked smoothly with the existing brewhouse. Then MARKS designed and built a custom second brewhouse that seamlessly worked with the existing production system. As capacity needs grow, MARKS has built more than 20 matched 400bbl cellar tanks to take the best advantage of the space within 10 Barrel’s facility. As the Production Manager says, “we are just getting started”!
