Carb Stones vs Tank Size

MARKS - April 16, 2018 - 0 comments

As breweries these days look to increase efficiencies and cut waste, process times are critical.  Carbonation of large vessels does not need to take longer than smaller vessels.  The answer is multiple carbonation stones.  Typically, any vessel above 90 BBL used for carbonation will benefit from having multiple carbonation stones.  The benefit is solely in time savings to reach the desired carbonation level.  The greater contact surface area of multiple stones increases the CO2 available in solution.   This is also critical as the diameter of carbonation vessels increase, so does the need for stone surface area. #craftbeer #carbonation
